It's been 2 months since we last updated Mia's blog, and a lot has happened. Mia already has 5 teeth, and number 6 is working it's way through now. She claps and gives raspberries and giggles when tickled. Mia apparently has SOMEWHERE to go and SOMETHING to say, because she is desperately trying to crawl, and babbling incessantly. We've had a lot of fun helping her learn movement and language. Mia now says "Daddy" or "Dada" on a regular basis, and "Mama" occassionally. What poetry! In fact, she has just started saying "Rob" (actually, Rob-bob-bob-bob).
Baby Mia is a really good eater. She likes everything, and LOVES spinach. Even had her first "plate lunch" recently--beef teri, rice, mac salad, and even saimin. I swear she said "Onolicious!" afterward. Being a SoCal girl, of course she has also had Mexican food. She loves black beans, refried beans, guacamole, tortillas and carne asada. !Viva Santa Ana!
For fun, Mia spends a lot of time with her buddies. She & Alexander Wolff like to go to the park and swing, or the zoo to see the monkeys, or just hang out at home. He teaches her how to crawl, and she teaches him how to roll over and butt-scoot. They like to hold hands, too. Mia also has fun with Garrison and Sierra Pike. They can't wait for her to walk and run and REALLY play with them. And, of course, Mia loves hanging out with her cousins Eleanor and Tyler in San Francisco.
Big news this month is that Daddy returned to work after 3 months of family leave. It's been a tough adjustment, but what makes it work is that Grandma is now watching Mia two days each week. Mia loves spending time with Grandma (and vice versa), so it's a perfect match. Our next-door neighbors, Marc and Lisa, also help out a lot and spend as much time as possible with Mia. There is no shortage of babysitters and people who love this little girl!
There are lots of new photos to see. Go to PHOTO ALBUMS.
